5. I feel like my starting salary as a graduate was similar to other friends starting as graduates at similar companies. I have been very happy with my pay increases as a graduate. Pay reviews for graduates occur twice a year, while the rest of the employees get a pay review once a year. WSP pays a "Public and Active Commute Contribution" bonus to employees that commute to work via active/public transport modes three or more days a week. This is to encourage employees to reduce their carbon footprint and protect the environment by making carbon friendly transport choices. A "Personal and Wellness Grant" monetary bonus was also introduced in October 2023 as an initiative to support the personal development and well-being of employees. Another really awesome bonus/reward opportunity at WSP is the Matariki Award recognition program. Employees are nominated by their peers for their performance and every month, winners are awarded a micro-bonus. At the Annual Matariki Awards, winners of each category receive a monetary prize bonus.
