Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
Currently I am happy with being an intern until I finish university. Then I might consider promotion opportunities.
Intern, Christchurch - 18 Jun 2024
Good - from what I have seen, many have worked their way up and Performance & Development Reviews are a good way that help and encourage this through goal setting and self-reflection.
Intern, Auckland - 10 Jun 2024
There is definitely opportunity to progress, but the pay seems to be below the market.
Graduate, Tauranga - 07 Jun 2024
There is good guidance and senior management/leadership opportunities. I do believe it depends on who you are allocated under (some luck of the draw). Some people in senior management are better at allocating work/pushing you out of your boundaries than others. To move up the ranks: take initiative and be proactive. Complete tasks that are within the next job role (e.g Assistant PM can try PM tasks ahead of promotion) to give you leverage/evidence in your renumeration and performance development reviews. Learn independently as well as on the job. Keep a positive mindset and learn soft skills from your colleagues around you. Try find something that gives you an 'edge'/ way that you can add value to the company.

Your understanding and competence is a significant factor of what it takes to move up the ranks with the organization. The more you move up the ranks, the more your decision making and problem solving ability must increase.
Intern, Dunedin - 07 Jun 2024
There are career progression opportunities within the company, I believe this would have been better for me at one of the larger offices.

It took willing and commitment for me to be moved up to an APM from an intern, but I don't know anything else about moving up the ranks here. I feel like I will be an APM for a very long time.
Assistant, Christchurch - 07 Jun 2024
Each year everyone is reassessed on their skills to see if they are up for a promotion. Personal Development Reviews are completed which allows for a discussion on progress and goals.
