We support our people during the most significant moments in their lives including the arrival of a new child and the transition to parenthood.

We recognise the importance of having the flexibility and support to take time away from work, as well as the difference financial assistance can make during this significant period of adjustment. 

It's also imperative that our commitment extends beyond parenthood and is in harmony with ensuring every employee has the opportunity to attain an equitable and sustainable financial future.

Our Parental Leave Policy provides:

  • Special Leave - Employees can take up to 10 days’ unpaid special leave for pregnancy-related reasons.
  • Primary Carers leave - The Employee can choose to either a top up to 100% of their normal pay processed over 13 weeks, or a top up to 50% of their normal pay processed over 26 weeks.
  • Partners Leave - Employees will be able to access 2 weeks paid leave.
  • KiwiSaver - Where the Employee continues their contributions, we will continue Employer paid superannuation contributions for the duration of the paid primary or partner leave period.
  • Keeping in Touch - Employees on parental leave can access up to 64 hours for work related activities.
  • Annual Leave - Employees Annual Leave will be paid at the higher of your ordinary weekly earnings or average weekly earnings when returning from parental leave (avoiding leave having little or no dollar value).
