Eligibility
You must be Australian or New Zealand Citizen OR an Australian Permanent Resident, AND be in your final year of study of a university degree OR completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree no more than 3 years ago.
Youโll need to be available to start with us as a permanent employee in February 2024.
Youโll be part of driving innovative solutions and see your contributions released in production environments and used by Westpac Group customers.
This is a flexible 12 to 24-month program consisting of a maximum of four 6-month rotations across the various teams that make up our tech function. To help guide your start with us, we connect with you to understand your strengths and where you would like to grow. We use this to help guide your initial rotation in our tech function, from there, your rotations, journey, and the opportunities you decide to tackle are entirely up to you!
Ultimately, we provide you the flexibility after rotation one to shape the remaining 18 months on program to suit your ambitions. Graduates can experience rotations from a curated list of opportunities, this is here to support you as you navigate our various teams. Or you can go your own way and find the right role and rotation yourself, the world your oyster!
Some examples of the roles our former graduates are holding include business analysts, security analysts, data analysts, engineers, solutions architects, developers, change and transformation managers.
You should join our rotational technology program if you love all things tech and have a STEM degree & background! We will provide you with a range of hands-on experiences and skills that will leave you confident in your career journey beyond.

A lot of admin work - booking meetings, writing minutes, making presentation packs, liaising with eas to organise higher-ups attendance. a lot of work is given to you that others in the team would rather not do - the important thing is to have a good attitude regardless of how passionate you are about it as that attitude is what people will talk about when you roll off/apply for internal roles.
