Sims’s Cadet and Graduate Program offers high-achieving candidates the opportunity to gain valuable experience across the diversity of our business operations through learning opportunities that are unique to the metal recycling industry.

Mentorship, training, and guidance will be provided to help you enhance your leadership skills and gain exposure to every facet of the business, to truly make an impact in our global organisation.

You’ll rotate through multiple divisions as part of a tailored program designed to equip you with a breadth of business knowledge and support you to achieve your career goals.

We have multiple streams available:

• Logistics / Exports
• Operations
• Engineering / Maintenance
• Finance and Administration
• Trading/Account Management
• Environment, Health & Safety

About you

We are seeking committed individuals with the following:

• A great attitude, with a desire to build your career in the world’s leading metal recycling company 
• Confidence in your ability to develop and acquire the necessary skills to become an effective leader
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Excellent customer service skills, complimented by your flexible and proactive attitude
• A self-motivated approach, with the ability to adhere to deadlines and work in a dynamic team environment

Requirements and eligibility

To be eligible for our Cadet & Graduate Program, you'll need to have:

• Either Australian/New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency 
• If applying for a graduate position, completed your degree within the last 3 years or be completing your degree by the mutually agreed start date
• Be able to commence full-time employment by the required start date
