I support my team in our client-facing work, which includes creating proposals, generating reports and cleaning data. I am also responsible for any ad-hoc requests made by my team.

Pros and cons of working at PwC NZ

Pros

  • Being in a big company means the opportunity for growth is limitless, which can be overwhelming but inspiring at the same time.

  • The people - how connected, friendly, and open-minded they are.

  • We are encouraged to use our flexibility policy to structure our work in a way that suits us.

  • The PwC office in Auckland is amazing - the facilities are nice and the view is stunning.

  • My manager is very accommodating and professional. I enjoy working with him.

Cons

    • The distribution of work (resourcing) isnโ€™t clearly communicated, which makes me feel insecure when I have the least amount of work assigned compared to others.

    • Long hours (at times).

    • Annual progression is good but has no flexibility for exceptional circumstances.

    • The pay disparity is accepted due to the experience gained.

    • With being in a big company it can be hard to feel like a small ๏ฌsh in a big pond, especially as a graduate.
