What does our team do?

Marsh Australia's Finance Group is part of the broader Marsh International Finance organisation, and the Pacific Finance organisation regionally, and is responsible for the management and administration of all finance activities for Marsh Australia. Our mission is to provide proactive decision and operational support of the local Marsh Australia objectives, promote fiscal responsibility and astute financial management throughout the organisation and embrace the Build the Best strategic direction.

Our products and services include: 

  • Decision support: financial analysis, internal/external reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  • Expert services: financial controls, audit, tax
  • Transaction processing: general ledger, accounts payable, travel and entertainment
  • Fiduciary accounting: accounts receivable, insurer payments

What can you expect?

You'll be providing input and offering advice on a range of things including:

  • Assisting in the creation of strategic documents including Project Business cases, Assessments, Communication plans and detailed project plans
  • Supporting the financial reporting team during the month-end and year-end reporting period, particularly with the audit process/production of the year-end statutory financial statements
  • Prepares and reviews journal entries, consolidated statements and client carrier reconciliations
  • Analyses, maintains and reconciles the general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and administrative systems

Our hiring criteria:

  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident
  • Be in your final year of a university degree or have completed your degree in the past 2 years
  • Open to applicants from all university degrees and backgrounds, Financial discipline preferred 
  • Graduates with a minimum of 65% grade point average (credit average)
  • Involvement with extra-curricular activities such as volunteering, sporting teams and/or community initiatives
