Your role

At L'Oréal Operations, they create innovative, inclusive, and sustainable beauty together with their business partners by designing, developing, sourcing, manufacturing, and distributing over 6 billion products globally every year. They support over 36 brands across four L’Oréal divisions. They are consumer-oriented and they act responsibly all along the value chain.

What You Will Learn:

The Direct Sourcing Co-Op will assist with a range of responsibilities in sourcing including:

  • Supporting the strategic sourcing needs of the category or business team manager.  Assisting with financial reporting, spend analysis, data management, and supplier evaluation & communication. 
  • Business team roles: Experience a new launch process and support project management including value analysis and business contingency projects. 
  • Category team roles: Support the execution of the Loreal Sourcing process including category deep-dives, category strategy development, and sourcing approach identification. 
  • Manage a strategic project from needs analysis through recommendation and implementation.
    • Coordinate with buyers, suppliers, and extended cross-functional teams on sourcing requirements. 
    • Create all required documentation including RFI's, RFP's, bid analysis documents, and negotiation reports and/or internal database.
  • Consistently seek feedback from and deliver feedback to manager and stakeholders and drive continuous progress on self-development. 

About you

What They Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently in Junior or Senior year of undergrad or first year of master's degree candidate with a minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or similar discipline
  • Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and effectively meet deadlines 
  • Prior internship in a relevant area is a plus
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing, permanent basis
  • Must be available to work up to 40 hours per week
