An average week for a Graduate Finance Analyst could include a wide range of activities including:

  • Using your recently acquired technical skills to solve a complex financial problem;
  • Contributing to the preparation of reports of findings and recommendations to management;
  • Collaborating with your team to develop and maintain operational specifications for financial information systems, through considering e.g. information flow and volume;
  • Assisting with the analysis of business development and performance by unit or division.
  • Supporting program activities including the annual operating plan (AOP), monthly outlook, month-end closing and accruals process, program performance reporting, earned value management reporting, quarterly contract status review and project profitability analysis.
  • Compilation and review of budgets using actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration

The Graduate position will rotate across various segments of Finance, and learn through both on the job experiences and a wide variety of formal training sessions.

Graduates will be supported to develop their skills and knowledge specific to this role, to ensure they are able to contribute and reach their highest potential. As a Leidos graduate, you will be working on interesting and challenging projects and will take part in a range of training and development opportunities. To support you further throughout the graduate year, and your early career here at Leidos, you will also be assigned a mentor and buddy.
