Our Summer Student program operates from November each year for a total of 60 working days and empowers you to focus on your passions from developing insights from our data, to managing our product portfolio. The work at Cochlear is challenging and incredibly rewarding. 

As a Summer Student in our Marketing stream, you will be using your technical skills and abilities to solve unique challenges in product management or marketing analytics and insights. Your projects will meaningfully contribute to Cochlear’s customer and commercial experience and provide you with unparalleled experience in delivering our innovations to a wider audience. You will have the opportunity to work alongside and collaborate with the best and brightest minds in Australia and across the world as they mentor and support you to develop your skills and follow your passions. 

Every year our Summer Students work on a variety of essential projects that add real value to our core mission. Some examples are below:

• Identifying customer needs from existing portfolios
• Creating meaningful insights from various datasets
• Contributing to product improvement projects
• Reporting and improving processes for international teams
• Identify opportunities and propose solutions for a better customer and commercial experience
• Working with stakeholders internationally for specific regional needs

At the conclusion of the Summer Student program, you will be eligible for exclusive graduate positions starting in February 2024 at Cochlear. Your performance during the Summer Student Program will contribute to your suitability for a graduate role.

Cochlear offers a highly competitive wage and the opportunity to learn and grow alongside a supportive community of innovators. To be eligible for our Marketing stream:

• You need to study a related tertiary degree with either a focus on Data Analytics, Marketing, Product Management or a related and similar degree.
• You need to be a penultimate student, completing your degree in the calendar year 2024.
• You have achieved a credit average or higher.
• You possess the right to work in Australia without sponsorship after graduation.
• You are seriously considering starting full-time work as a graduate employee with Cochlear in February 2025.
