I work in IT infrastructure. Much of my day-to-day work focuses on compliance and audit preparation (patching, vulnerability prevention and mitigation), as well as upgrading and replacing systems and hardware.

Very satisfied with work, broad range of responsibilities with enough room to find my own interesting projects to work on.

Day-to-day I support frontline engineering in critical tasks to ensure we can maintain operation. This involves start to finish of making changes on sight, documenting them for traceability and ensuring value opportunities are targeted. As a process (chemical) engineer in a multidisciplinary role this requires high level of collaboration with SMEs and frontline team to ensure the integrity of non-process decisions and clearly convey the outcome of process checks/calcs.

Work on real problems and add value to the company, not treated like a grad

I support operations and maintenance and review control systems on the plant. I perform daily reviews of the plant to see if systems are optimised and determine possible locations of improvement.

As a software engineer, my day-to-day responsibilities include developing features, fixing bugs, and working with end-users to understand their needs.

Daily responsibilities include supporting frontline queries and planning midterm projects

I support multiple teams across Supply Chain Management including Site Services from the Perth office and Turnaround management work. I have a varied day-to-day in relation to tasks which I enjoy, however, I often feel unsure and inadequate in the tasks that I perform.

My role has so far been very varied, usually working on providing a solution (some kind of small-scale prototype software) or an answer (some kind of data science model) for people outside my team, but within the company, to something they haven't been able to solve within their field of expertise through more conventional means, and haven't found a pre-built solution for. Most of my day-to-day work is some kind of programming (often in Python), or engaging with stakeholders to work out exactly what they need from me, and to verify that what I'm making meets their needs.

My role includes working with a diverse team to characterise the subsurface and optimize development concepts for future projects

I support assurance programs in my company, it is important work, but not what I studied for.

Cybersecurity protecting/supporting applications, databases, servers, network devices, third party contractor risk management, risk assessments, asset cyber security ratings, governance risk and compliance

Financial reporting and data analytics.

Big projects / scopes provide challenging work, complex problem solving and working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, however in quiet times can be doing time consuming, low value work

Subsurface modelling and mapping, geological data analysis

I feel that I could add more value in more areas and be given heavier responsibilities.

I receive highly impactful scope in my role. I feel get to steer the direction of my projects and get the opportunity to manage these through the execution in the field.

Work scope is engaging and is meaningful. Provided with a range of responsibilities that provide room for professional development.
