Join BDO as a Vacationer in our Consulting team in either November 2025 or January 2026!
BDO is one of the world’s leading audit, accounting, advisory, and consulting firms. We provide a range of services to clients of all sizes and industries across Australia.
As a Vacationer, you’ll see firsthand how our Consulting team provides professional client service in areas such as strategy, operations and transformation. They dive into the details of each client and focus on supporting them in growing revenue and improving their business processes.
You will have exposure to a variety of current consulting projects, ranging across multiple industries and clients. You will support the team with analysis of data, gathering, interpreting, and presenting information, as well as being involved in client meetings.

What you’ll offer:
- Your willingness to apply your knowledge from your relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Due to the variety of consulting, we’ll consider a wide range of degrees across Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering, and Science for this vacationer role.
- You will be in your penultimate or final year!
- Your availability to commence in either November 2025 or January 2026 for 4 weeks. The length of the program and available intakes may vary in each location.

I am given a fair amount of responsibility, and plenty of support to learn.
Checking emails, liaising with clients to receive information on their R&D activities, writing/drafting activities according to AusIndustry guidelines/ITAA legislation. Calculating financial incentives and meeting with clients.
Admin tasks including note taking, setting up meeting and powerpoint/word templates, writing and research tasks

Pros
The culture in and out of the office is great.
My colleagues are always willing to get out of their way to help me.
Great opportunity to learn. People are nice and not getting annoyed when I ask questions.
Never any pressure to stay late.
The training is great, I have learned a lot in my time here.
Cons
Pay is relatively low, however this is industry-wide.
The graduate program doesn't rotate us through all the service lines.
Some managers are great and give constructive feedback. Others do not provide you with proper instructions.
Dishwashers are small... toilets are not flushed... desk are most of the time dirty.
Could include more women, however this is the industry.
