Career Prospects at BOQ Group

I'm very satisfied where I am in a professional sense considering I'm not even halfway through my degree. I can see there would be much opportunity if a had a greater work capacity and longer work week. I'm not exactly looking at promotion possibilities at this stage in my career.

There are always positions opening up across the company and internal hiring is prioritised, so there a numerous opportunities to interview for new positions

Unsure about the exact possibilities, but able to do full time if required. More experience and everyone is willing to help!

The position I currently work in does not seem to have significant internal opportunity for advancement in the team I am in currently, however, the company itself has a number of internal opportunities for movement, etc.

i have not given it too much thought as i am only in second year of uni and feel fulfilled in how i am progressing right now

The progression feels fair and achievable whilst maintaining a good wok/life balance.

Its all about engagement. Making sure that you do a good job, but on-top of that interacting with your manager, and your managers manager, etc. For an engineer it goes Junior Engineer, Engineer, Lead Engineer, Senior Engineer, Senior Lead Engineer, Engineering Manager, Senior Engineering Manager and then Department heads. Thats not the organizational structure, just the titles in terms of progress.

At 3 years, the length of the graduate program at BOQ is quite long in comparison to other organisation's programs. Other than this, a path to success is open for those who are motivated.

The certainty of position at the end of the program is a great opportunity.

In grad program so waiting.

Due to the length of the program it takes 3 years to feel any career progression, though with the development opportunities provided once the program has finished we should harness the correct skills to progress quickly through the ranks in our intended field.

I am unfamiliar with this process. From what I understand you need a high score in the internal ranking system, showing initiative with projects and going above and beyond within your role.

Given exposure to multiple teams as part of the graduate program, it will provide great experience.

Havent really looked at that just yet. Not settled enough yet to start looking to the next.

The program has a structured acceleration schedule, and will have graduates in leadership roles at the end of the program.

Good, hard work is rewarded and career progression during the Graduate program is well explained.
