Very random mix of different training programs, not well integrated. More focus on data skills needed

A lot of training available but not the most relevant or with the best providers which is a little unfortunate
Graduate, Sydney - 01 Aug 2024
My team members have been great at training me informally. We have had formal training on how to conduct some business functions and how to work with others in a professional environment. However, the training on financial and non-financial risks could be better. That being said, my writing, technical and interpersonal skills have all improved.

Most useful training relates specifically to the regulatory standards maintained and enforced by APRA.
Graduate, Sydney - 16 Jul 2024
very comprehensive training, from technical skills to learning how to present professionally.
Graduate, Sydney - 10 Jul 2024
Comprehensive training program for graduate but mostly general skills (eg. presenting, grammar and writing) with some useless training (eg" 7 Habits") and some good training (eg. around company directorship). Generous travel budget for graduates to allow them to travel to head office for this program. More useful training would be around economics, commerce, and financial analytical skills. After the graduate program, solid budget for training courses. Analytical skills, industry knowledge, familiarity with relevant statute are learnt on the job.
Graduate, Melbourne - 02 Jul 2024
There is a structured Graduate Program that helps you train and develop. However, there are a plethora of different LND optional training that you can engage with, as well as Study Support.

All training has been on the job. These have helped settle into full time work and broaden our perspectives on communication. We have also learned how to manage and improve our public speaking.
Graduate, Melbourne - 01 Jul 2024
Most learning is from on the job work where the graduates just learn through experience and watching others. The formal training was great but is always going to be long and boring. Main skills are in communication and writing style, stakeholder management and technical skills/knowledge of our division.

I've learnt a lot from my time at the organisation and that is largely through the time taken by people in the organisation to help you in your training and development. The training is crucial at the organisation as the work we do is so unique that it is necessary that the training is structured and well planned (which it is).

on the job, I have received so much training and guidance from my team. Formally, APRA runs a multitude of training programs that I have been involved in.
