Do you want a meaningful career protecting the financial future of all Australians?

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is an independent statutory authority that supervises institutions across banking, insurance, and superannuation and promotes financial system stability in Australia. Working with APRA, you will help ensure that the savings, insurance policies and superannuation nest eggs of millions of Australians are in safe hands.

Is a role where you will have an unparalleled view of the financial services industry for you?

At APRA you will experience one of the most in-depth and diverse Graduate Programs on offer. We want our graduates to gain an understanding of every aspect of what we do. To ensure you achieve this, you will spend time within different divisions on rotation, giving you the chance to create the core foundations of prudential regulation, including frontline supervision, policy development, and data analytics.

Are you looking for an employer who will encourage and support your career development?

We value your development, you will receive ongoing training throughout your career with us. In fact, training and development are an integral part of ensuring we maintain our excellence as a regulator. As one of our select graduates, you will benefit from our performance coach/mentoring program, a 'buddy' system and working as part of an APRA team from the beginning.

What are the details?

At the end of your graduate program, you will be promoted to the role of Analyst, and have the opportunity to drive your career in any of APRA's core functions, including specialist areas. We are looking for graduates with a range of skill-sets to help deliver our mission including:

  • Frontline supervisors in banking, insurance, and superannuation;
  • Statistics/mathematicians gurus;
  • Policy advisors;
  • Legal professionals;
  • Risk specialists in areas such as credit, operational, market and liquidity risk

For further information or assistance, please email graduatecareers@apra.gov.au. Please do not apply to this e-mail address.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
  • Minimum credit average
  • Degrees in Commerce, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Law, Public Policy, Econometrics, Actuarial, Banking, Financial Modelling or other relevant fields.

Due to the COVID-19,  recruitment of the APRA graduate program is currently being reviewed. APRA is committed to graduates joining the organisation in 2021. We hope to provide an update on our reviewed recruitment process shortly.'
