Your role:

Your role as a nurse in the Army Reserve will be very similar to what you do in the civilian world, but with the added excitement and adventure that comes from applying your skills to a military environment.
With the flexibility to fit around your regular nursing job, your duties will include things you're already familiar within your profession. From identifying patient care requirements to supporting the medical team with your expert skills โ€“ the difference is you'll have the opportunity to work out in-field or on military operations.
With opportunities to travel and grow your skillset, this role provides the sense of accomplishment that comes from serving your country.

Wage:

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.
On completion of military training and initial employment training your rate could be: $226/day tax-free.

Life in the Army Reserve:

Thousands of men and women enjoy part-time roles with the Army Reserve, operating alongside full-time Army personnel. The only difference is that your commitment is flexible.
Initial training length will vary based on your chosen role, after which you will normally be expected to serve between 20 and 100 days a year. This could involve an evening each week and one weekend a month, and even extended periods away.

We do our best to make sure this fits in with your work and family commitments; and deployments are voluntary so if you choose to stay local, there are plenty of ways to make a difference closer to home. And with no minimum period of service, you can leave the Army Reserve whenever you like.

Apply Now:

For this role, you must have completed two years recent acute care hospital based experience and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency a Registered Nurse (DIV 1), General.
