I feel that for my experience I am probably on the lower side of pay for a person in my profession. Since I have been at the company for 5 years now (as an intern for the majority) I feel that I have more experience and knowledge than my fellow graduates so feel that I should be getting paid more than them. 1 graduate who was in the same position as me having been at the company for the same amount of time as me and then started the program with me left the company at the start of this year and received a not insignificant pay rise from our salary at Arup. While I do enjoy working at Arup, pay is the major thing that would make me leave the company.
We have also received very few bonuses recently through the profit share at the company due to poor performance in other areas of the company which is frustrating as my team are performing really well.

OK
Graduate, Brisbane - 05 Sep 2024
Profit share is unstable, making the total salary slightly under industry benchmark. However, the experience gained in this company is invaluable.

Could be better
Graduate, Kuala Lumpur - 05 Sep 2024
There are share incentives within the company. Uncertain about bonuses. Pay seems adequate and similar to other similar companies.
Graduate, Adelaide - 07 Aug 2024
Least competitive offer I have received by a sizeable margin.
Graduate, Melbourne - 31 Jul 2024
The pay is slightly under average but this is because we receive a profit share
Graduate, Brisbane - 23 Jul 2024
The pay is average for a grad with my degree. The bonuses are usually what makes higher salaries in our office competitive with other jobs, however, when bonuses are low the pay is no longer competitive. Most people seem to choose this company for the ethics and opportunities rather than the pay.
Graduate, Adelaide - 17 Jul 2024
Pay and salary is below market value and competitors. The bi-annual profit share system, gives an "expected" bonus to our pay to get us to a similar level (but still less) than our competitors, however over the last 2 years this value has been extremely close to and equal to 0 multiple times.
Graduate, Brisbane - 15 Jul 2024
No individual incentive schemes
Graduate, Melbourne - 01 Nov 2023
Pay is average as we are not a mining company - standard graduate pay
Graduate, Perth - 31 Oct 2023
I think pay is comparative and the profit share rather than a bonus is a really nice feature that I think helps with team morale/unity.
Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Oct 2023
Arup does profit share twice a year which is nice. but some other benefits/bonus such as bike and solar panel loans are underutilized. The pay appears average compared to jobs at other companies. I can also buy (salary sacrifice) leave to get extra days of leave.
Graduate, Brisbane - 16 Dec 2022
Fair pay and plenty of bonuses.
Graduate, Adelaide - 16 Dec 2022
Bonuses in the form of profit share are good, however our salary in comparison to other leading engineering firms is low.
Midlevel, Sydney - 13 Dec 2022
Pay too low. bonus structure is frustrating as not linked to individual performance
Midlevel, Melbourne - 13 Dec 2022
The pay and promotions system could be more transparent, but it appears efforts are underway to improve this.
Graduate, Melbourne - 12 Dec 2022
It is equal and fair. You are provided with plenty of opportunity to grow your wage.
Graduate, Melbourne - 12 Dec 2022
The pay and bonuses are pretty good at my company however I am aware that we are on the lower end of industry average.
Graduate, Melbourne - 06 Dec 2022
Pay is not the main reason I work there
